Arturo is Managing Partner at IVA Ventures, focusing on seed, early, and growth stage investments in digital media. He moved into the investment arena after a successful executive career; and possesses extensive operational experience.

 

Prior to IVA Ventures, Arturo served as Chief Innovation Officer for Digital First Media. Before this, he was Chief Executive Officer of impreMedia Digital, the largest Hispanic news-and-information company in the country. He was also previously the President of Interactive and Business Integration for Canwest Mediaworks,’ leading the company’s record-breaking online revenue growth, making it one of the largest Canadian News and Information Networks. Arturo has also served as VP, Multicultural, AOL Media Networks; VP, Interactive Content, AOL Canada; Director, Business Development, AOL Mexico; Director, Business Development of the Internet Division, Polaroid Corporation; and VP, Manufacturing and Retail Solutions, Unisys Corp.

 

Arturo also sits on several boards, including Zumby.io, Amanece.com, AutoProyecto.com, Antengo.com, TapClicks.com, WearthatArt.com and LoyalTRaffic.com, among others. He was, for more than 5 years, Digital and Tech Advisor to the CEO of PRISA, the largest Media Company in the Spanish speaking world, which experienced a Digital growth of more than 350%. He has also been part of several ICOs, including as Advisor to the Board at Hubii.com.

 

With an educational background in quantitative economics, Arturo’s functional expertise is in applying machine learning and artificial intelligence to data problems; sitting on the boards of HashPlay, Inc and VR Americas (both data visualization offerings). He is also fluent in Spanish, English, and French; and has extensive experience within Multicultural and Hispanic markets.
