Barbara Healy O'Loughlin

ADVISOR

Barbara Healy O'Loughlin recently started her own Consulting Business in 2017 after a successful career in Executive Leadership.  Her Company, Healy & O'Loughlin Collaborations, LLC, has worked with several clients on strategic initiatives including business process restructuring and shared service planning. 

 

Prior to starting her own business, Barbara worked in Media for over twenty-five years in a number of roles, each with increasing responsibility so she knows a thing or two about the industry. Her last role was that of Senior Vice President, Advertising Operations at Tribune Publishing.  Over her lengthy career, she bore witness to many of the developments that have helped change the inner workings of the operations, advertising, marketing and digital worlds.

 

Barbara’s career in publishing began at the Chicago Tribune Company where she was a senior manager responsible for targeted retention marketing, strategy development, subscriber billing and collections, and online and written communication channels. Following that, Ms. Healy moved to her Corporate role at Tribune Interactive as an Operations Director. There she was responsible for the technical production of the online products across Tribune.  Among other responsibilities, that role included website technical production for newspaper and broadcast sites, as well as the ad operations, including trafficking and ad campaign optimization. In 2008, Ms. Healy became Vice President of Digital Advertising Operations then in 2012 she took on the role of Senior Vice President, Advertising Operations at Tribune Publishing.

 

Prior to her career in Media, Barbara worked in Retail Management (TJ Maxx) and Theater Management (AMC) in leadership roles.

 

Barbara has her M.B.A. in Marketing and Operations from the Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University and her M.A. in Corporate Communication from DePaul University.  She is a certified professional in Business Process Management (CPBPM) and Project Management (PMP) and is the recipient of the National Association of Professional Women 2014 Woman of the Year Award for her leadership and dedication to her profession. Barbara is an active member of a number of professional organizations and sits on the Dean's Advisory Board for the College of Communication at her alma mater, DePaul University.

 

In her spare time, Barbara enjoys...travel, having been across the country and around the world; mentoring and coaching others, formally through professional organizations as well as informally; reading voraciously and; writing, with a book in the works.
