Sunil Sharma

Among the early innovators in programmatic marketing, Sunil has extensive domain knowledge and experience leading strategic change through innovations in data science and technology. As a leader with strategy and finance expertise along with advanced technical knowledge, he has consistently galvanized diverse teams in achieving challenging visions across the corporate entrepreneurship and startup arenas.

While CEO of InferSystems, Sunil led an experienced team from the pre-revenue stage to significant revenue growth and international expansion; securing multiple rounds of capital from investors. This set the stage for the company’s eventual acquisition by Kochava.

As Global Director of Trading for Havas’ original trading desk, Adnetik, Sunil built from scratch the Trading Group, developing industry leading capabilities in pricing strategy and inventory valuation and trading. He made significant industry-wide contributions by partnering with leading publishers and SSPs to help design and shape today’s mechanisms of programmatic premium inventory trading. As a member of the global executive team, he also helped to grow Adnetik from a handful of employees to a leading industry player.

Sunil has also done significant strategy consulting work on the supply side of the industry, helping premium content publishers design and deploy programatic yield strategy.

Prior to being recruited into media and advertising, Sunil led global strategy and analytics teams for IBM’s Market Intelligence Group. He helped to build the Value and Price Optimization Practice from an internal startup to a respected and sought after strategic resource for senior executives. Over a several year period, he led the team that helped to better position IBM’s Services business against global competition by devising and deploying more effective value driven product and pricing strategies.

Sunil earned an MBA from the F.W. Olin School of Management at Babson College, a Bachelor of Science in Business from Bentley University, and has done significant work toward a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Economics with the University of London(currently on hold).
